Since we have begun this journey we have met and talked to so many people with similar experiences to ours! It is so amazing to me that we may actually be able to inspire others to take this walk of faith also! Instead of going through the heartbreak of infertility we are trying to adopt and you can too! When we first started looking into adoption we simply googled adoption, and I found Everlasting Adoptions on facebook. We found several different agencies we liked and called them and met with some of them. Adoption is expensive! We did not let that stop us, we went into the bank and applied for a line of credit, and with Jeremy's dad cosigning for us we got approved and that has been how we have been paying for stuff this far. Once we signed with our agency Everlasting we began our homestudy. We are getting that done with The Independent Adoption Center. We were assigned a social worker who came to our home to interview us and tell us what we need to fix in our apartment. We also had quite a few things to get done on our own for the homestudy, we had to get letters of recommendation, dmv records, live scans, physicals, TB tests, and a couple of other things. So now the waiting game begins, and we wait for a birthmom to choose us, since we are looking to adopt a newborn. There are many different ways to adopt. I recommend doing your research and seeing what works best for you. Our church Saddleback offers an info session about adoption the second Tuesday of every month. The link is below, just email Lynn to register. It is great if you are just thinking about adoption and just starting to look into it. They will also give you a list of different agencies. Trust in God and He will lead you to where you need to be. We are walking 100% by faith right now and we believe God will lead us to our baby. Please continue to pray for us, leave me a comment and we will pray for you. God Bless.
